In addition to its core capability to distribute full 18Gbps (4K@60hz 4:4:4 and all HDR formats) to two HDMI outputs, it can simultaneously distribute 4K HDR content to a 4K HDR capable display and downscale a second output to an older 1080p display, addressing a major challenge. You'll no longer need to limit a source to 1080p to ensure compatibility with a mixed 1080p and 4K HDR system. Simplifying system design even further, HDMI audio, via an optical audio breakout, can be extracted for routing to another audio distribution solution.
